Provisional: these terms may change before Passalong's public launch.

By using Passalong you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

• Passalong is a free listing board for households in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, run by Kairos Studios LLC. It is not a store. Passalong never owns, holds, inspects or delivers anything listed here, and never handles money.
• You must be 18 or older to use Passalong, and you confirm that you are when you sign up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it. If they are under 13, we also delete their information.
• You're responsible for what you post and what you pass on. Post only things you own and are allowed to give or sell, describe them honestly, and follow the list of what can't be posted.
• Deals are between neighbors. Any payment, pickup or exchange is between you and the other person. Passalong is not a party to it and is not responsible for the condition, safety or legality of items, or for what happens at a pickup.
• Car seats carry an extra note that both neighbors accept before posting or asking. Passalong does not inspect, test or guarantee any car seat, and its automatic recall check can miss a recall.
• Your listings stay yours. By posting, you give Kairos Studios LLC permission to show your listing and its photos on Passalong and in the links you share, for as long as the listing is up. Deleting the listing or your account ends that permission.
• Photos and copyright. Post only photos you took or have the right to use. If you think a listing uses your photo or work without permission, see passalong.us/copyright for how to send a notice to our designated agent. We close accounts that repeatedly post material that is the subject of valid copyright notices.
• Intimate images. Never post an intimate image of anyone without their consent. To ask us to remove one, see passalong.us/takedown. We act on valid requests within 48 hours.
• Email addresses shared with you. When a neighbor shares their email by asking for your item, use it only to arrange that item. Don't add it to a list or pass it on.
• Be decent. No harassment, scams, spam, discrimination or reselling businesses passing as neighbors.
• Selling as a business. If you sell things you bought to resell, or things you make, you are responsible for any sales tax registration and local licenses that apply to you.
• Moderators may hide or remove any listing, and close any account, that breaks these terms or the posting rules.
• Support emails may be answered by an AI assistant. Every reply it writes says so at the top, and replying "person" reaches a human.
• Passalong is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Kairos Studios LLC is not liable for losses arising from use of Passalong or from exchanges between users. Nothing in these terms limits liability for our own gross negligence, recklessness or willful misconduct, or takes away any right the law does not allow a contract to take away.
• If someone makes a claim against Kairos Studios LLC because of something you posted, or because of how you acted in an exchange, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of that claim, to the extent the law allows. This does not apply to anything caused by Passalong's own fault.
• Massachusetts law governs these terms. Any dispute about them goes to the state or federal courts in Massachusetts, and you can always use small claims court.
• These terms may change. When they change in a meaningful way, you will be asked to agree again the next time you sign in.
